Star within a star

Here is a close up of a Star Within A Star pattern quilt created by Susan Baughman of Ada. The full-size quilt was machine pieced and machine quilted. It was created for Susan's son, Shane. The quilt was on display earlier this fall at the Bluffton Fall Festival quilt show.

Late touchdown lifts ONU to 20-19 victory over Muskingum

Senior Anthony Fletcher caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from senior Tate Humphrey with 33 seconds left to lift Ohio Northern to a 20-19 football victory over Muskingum Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The Polar Bears improve to 3-5 overall and are 3-4 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Muskies fall to 1-7, 1-6.

Facing a 4th and goal from the 5-yard line, Humphrey rolled to his right and couldn't find an open receiver. He then looked back to his left and found Fletcher wide open in the corner of the end zone for the score.

Ada's Friday night playoff foe Waynesfield

Ada High School retained its number one spot in Region 24 (Division VI) and will entertain Waynesfield (4-6) at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, in the opening grounds of the 2012 Ohio High School football playoffs.

Tickets on sale for Kiwanis Club Nov. 15 spaghetti dinner

 

The annual Ada Kiwanis Club spaghetti dinner will be held at the VFW, 2147 State Route 235 from 4:30-7 p.m, Thursday, Nov. 15. Tickets are available from and club member or at the door.

Look what's on the Ada calendar in November and December

November and December are busy - fun - months for the Ada Community. 

The holiday season start with a craft show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Community Health  Professionals, and concludes with a new year's eve dinner at The Inn at ONU on Monday, Dec. 31.

In between are the Festival of Trees, lots of holiday concerts, breakfast with Santa and a host of other events.
