Donna Moore Buck, age 81, died on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:07 a.m. at her residence.
Donna was born on March 22, 1936 in Lima, Ohio to Cyril J. and Floretta (Bielefeld) Keiffer who preceded her in death. She married Richard H. Moore Jr and she later married Roland A. Buck and they both preceded her in death. Donna resided with her loving companion of 37 years, Angela “Bun” Dick who preceded her in death on October 15, 2013.
Donna is leaving behind to cherish her memories, her children, Barb (Doug) Omlor, Diana (Jeff) Ludwig, Tim Moore, Steve Moore, Don (Mimi) Moore and Mike Moore: grandchildren, Rick, Robyn, Blaine, Kelli, Dan, Hayley, Lexie, Mandy, Anton, and Donnie; special grandson, Mark; great grandchildren, Regan, Ayden, Cade, Kati, Matt, Gracie, Zach, Nick, Gianni, Becca, Carrie, Daulton and one on the way; special great grandchildren, Madison and Gavin; daughters-in-law, Julie Moore and Linda Moore; half-brother, Cyril “Snookie” Keiffer; a very special friend, Michelle Williams: her “furry Kids” Smoochi and Stormy; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
“Grannie” as she was known to her family attended St. Gerard School and received her high school diploma from Lima Central Catholic. She then attended UNOH and earned two degrees one in business and one in legal secretarial. When the kids were in school she was a den mother for Troop #47 and refereed girls basketball games. She belonged to the Mother’s Club of St. Gerard, and a member of the former Business Women in Ada. She loved bike riding in a family group, camping out in the back yard, tending the big garden, with the help of the kids and the canning of all that they reaped. Donna went to work after all the kids went to school. After 20 years with United Telephone Service, Donna retired from Hanson-Neely Funeral Home of Ada and Alger. She then worked for 3 years at BP as a security guard. Donna loved her TV, books and crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard “Rickie” Moore.
Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Mark Omlor officiating.
Friends may call four hours prior to the service on Monday, June 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
