A peek out of the window on Thursday brings to mind two overlapping seasons: fall and winter. Should Ada residents busy themselves with raking leaves or shoveling snow...or maybe be content with sitting in front of the fireplace, hoping the leaves will blow away and the snow will melt? Leaves fell late this year. A light snow arrived early. (Monty Siekerman)

Leaf pickup in Ada is in full swing.
Members of the village street department follow the schedule (below) as best as possible depending on the weather. Leaves have fallen later this year and the cold, wet weather has kept some homeowners from raking the leaves to the curb.
Hopefully, residents will have the leaves raked and the village will have them picked up by the first week of December.
