Music Boosters will wrap your Christmas presents on Dec. 2

The Ada Music Boosters will provide free gift wrapping during "Merry on Main" on Monday, Dec. 2.

To have your presents wrapped, please bring them into the Ada Depot between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. that evening.

Additionally, the Ada High School Varisty Singers will be singing Christmas carols near the depot from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"The Ada Music Boosters invite the public to visit the depot area during that time and enjoy the music while your gifts are being wrapped," said Cliff Maier, Booster president.
 

ONU student wins prestigious Elite 89 Award for men’s cross country

Ohio Northern University student Nathan Rosenbaum, a junior mechanical engineering major from Orrville, Ohio, was named the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Elite 89 Award winner Nov. 22 at Collier Arena.

Rosenbaum won the award as the male student-athlete with the highest GPA among competitors at the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships. Rosenbaum, who is a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree and earned a bid to the NCAA championships with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional in Grand Rapids, Mich., finished 152nd overall at the national meet.

You probably already knew this, Santa Claus looks a lot like a guy who lives in Ada

Over the weekend The Icon sat down with Santa Claus and discussed everything starting from Dec. 26 all the way to Dec. 25. The more we talked with him, the more we began to think he resembles a certain Ada resident. But we could never quite nail it down. Our chat took place while he visited youngsters of all ages in a town north of Ada.
