James Clark, Jr., age 93, died Friday, March 10, 2017 at 4:03am at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
He was born on December 21, 1923 in Alger, Ohio to James and Kitty (Davis) Clark, Sr. who preceded him in death. On April 5, 1942 James married Alice M. Rex and she survives in Harrod.
James retired from Ford Motor Company of Lima. He previously was a teacher and coach at Harrod Schools. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern University, Ada. James was a U.S. Army Veteran who served as a combat engineer during WWII. He was a life member of the Lima VFW Post #1275.
Also surviving are his four sons: Terry (Sharon) Clark of Venice, FL, Doug (Nancy) Clark of Sarcoxie, MO, Gilbert (Lois) Clark of Lima and Pat (Chris) Clark of Lima; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylord Clark and a sister, Berniece Dowell.
Funeral services will begin at 1:30pm on Tuesday, March 14, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with graveside military honors conducted by the Lima VFW Post #1275 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, March 13, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
