140 seniors attend school's holiday luncheon
By Monty Siekerman
Suzanne Darmer (left) and Robin VanBuskirk welcomed 140 senior citizens to a thank you luncheon at the Ada Schools on Wednesday.
Both ladies have been involved with the local schools for 10 years. Dr. Darmer will retire as schools superintendent at the end of this month. Ms. VanBuskirk is principal for K-12 grades.
The school system and several organizations sponsor an annual holiday luncheon every year to thank the senior citizens for their support of the schools and for their contributions to the community.
After lunch (and a visit with Santa) all of those present were invited to a performance by the award-winning Varsity Singers in the auditorium.
