A strong, viable public library is one of the important cornerstones of any community. Certainly this is true in Ada.

How often have you described Ada this way to an outsider:

“Ada is a small community with a thriving university. It has a great school system, a beautiful public park, a new retirement community, wonderful medical facilities, an attractive tree-lined Main Street and a modern public library. The library reaches its patrons needs for literature, research, discussion groups, internet access and a whole host of year-long activities.”

You can help the library on election day. It has a renewal levy on the ballot.

It’s not new taxation. To a homeowner whose residence is valued at $100,000 the cost is about $1.66 per month.

The library needs all our support on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Vote “Yes” for its renewal levy.

VOTE YES FOR THE PARK LEVIES

The Ada park district has lived on a tight budget in the last few years. There are two levies on Tuesday's ballot. Both are five-year replacement levies.

The levies help with labor costs, utilities and maintenance. A new shelter house may be built to replace one that is old and has been used by many people over the years.

We repeat our Ada descriptive statement here:

“Ada is a small community with a thriving university. It has a great school system, a beautiful public park, a new retirement community, wonderful medical facilities, an attractive tree-lined Main Street and a modern public library. The park is unique to a small town like Ada. It has multi-uses year around."

The two levies are replacement levies. The park district needs all our support on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Vote “Yes” for these renewals.
