It's Halloween in Ada!

Along came a spider...probably the biggest anyone has ever seen. Here, Erika Teeters protects Jansen and Molly Rietschlin from the arthropod. Jessica and Troy Cassie devised the spider out of PVC pipe and a laundry basket for a display at their home, 542 N. Main.

It was part of Thursday night's Halloween in Ada. There are more photos and their descriptions follow (photos at bottom of story)
Calvin Fisher hands out bags of popcorn at ReStore on Halloween. ReStore popped 700 bags to get ready for the ghouls and goblins who walked Main Street on Thursday evening.
Ada Public Library offered pizza, cookies, candy, and juice for Halloween. The Daft family, parents Ty and Bethany with sons, Will and Jase, enjoy the goodies while Kelly Kobiela (standing) looks on. Kelly is president of the Friends of the Library which sponsored the treat-giving on behalf of the library. The library entertained 734 Halloweeners.
You may have to explain to a dog why he is dressed for Halloween, but you don't have to tell him about the treat part...eating the candy. Here, Amanda McCury and Boots travel Main looking for handouts...and there were plenty of goodies to be had all up and down the road on Thursday evening.
Now how do I do this? A Halloweener tries to down a hotdog at the Ada-Liberty Fire and EMS station. Where there is a will, there is a way. The emergency squads planned to cook 400 hotdogs for the event. Sodexo and ONU donated the hotdogs and buns.
