Kiwanis Club gets ready for Sept. 17 bicycle raffle
The Ada Kiwanis Club's Harvest & Herb bicycle raffle is set up. It will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17. Our booth will be in the same location as it was last year. A volunteer sign-up sheet was passed around.
In other club news:
• Joe Ferguson and Tom Kier recently mulched the north and south village entrance signs.
• O.N.U. Circle K had their first meeting last Tuesday. They had an ice cream social and the officers introduced themselves. and The club also did a service project of making bookmarks for children to be distributed at the Ada Public Library.
• The club’s annual spaghetti dinner is set for Thursday October 20th at the Ada High School Cafeteria. Tickets have been distributed. and posters have been printed and will be placed around town.
Jan Lehman told members about his visit with his wife, Cindy, to Japan in 2015.
Lehman exports non-GMO soybeans for the production of tofu in Japan via Kanematsu grains. At a growers’ meeting Jan won an all-expense paid trip to Japan.

The Ada Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Dean’s Heritage Room, McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University. Guests are always welcome.
