It’s all in the family for Brian Sprang when it comes to the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.
Sprang, chief information officer and marketing officer for Quest Federal Credit Union, became the chair of the county chamber board of directors earlier this year. It’s a position that his grandfather, Leo J. Bernard held in 1960-61.
Sprang of Kenton will serve as board chair through Dec. 31, 2018. The Kenton native is a 1996 Kenton High School grad. He and his wife, Abbey, returned to Hardin County after their college graduation. Abbey is coordinator of radiology at Mary Rotan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
“Both our parents live here. We have two children in elementary school and we’re excited about that,” he told The Icon. “Hardin County is home and we want to keep it home.”
When not working with Quest or the chamber, Sprang directs the church choir at Immaculate Conception Church, Kenton. He also fills in as organist. As a father of youth 4 and 7, he also is active in indoor soccer.
Among the chamber’s goals under Sprang’s board leadership include growth of members, adding value to membership, and a joint partnership with the Hardin Leadership.
The Hardin chamber board includes four persons with Ada connections. They are Matt Brown, Chris Burns DiBiasio, Mark Light and Brandt Miller.
