LIMA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team ran its winning streak to five matches with a 9-0 victory over Wittenberg Sunday night indoors at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 13-2 overall, while the Tigers fall to 5-9.
Northern swept the doubles matches to take a quick 3-0 lead.
Junior Lynn Kelly (Mason) and sophomore Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) won 8-1 at No. 1 and seniors Christina Corbean(Dayton/Oakwood) and Brittany Toney(Greenwood, Ind.) won 8-2 at No. 2.
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — Sophomore Caleb Thomas (Strongsville) smashed a 3-run home run to lead the Ohio Northern baseball team to a 19-6 victory at Thomas More (Ky.) on Saturday at Thomas More Field.

Thomas finished the day 3-for-3 with 5 RBI and four runs scored and junior Brandon Kasberg (Mentor) was 3-for-5 with an RBI and four runs scored.
HOUGHTON, N.Y. — Sophomore Max Weese(Columbus/Hilliard Darby) scored a school record eight goals to lead the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team to a 22-4 victory at Houghton (N.Y.) on Saturday afternoon at Burke Field.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-3, while the Highlanders fall to 0-6.
Weese also had an assist and finished with a school record nine points.
Freshman Cameron Marous (Brecksville) scored two goals and had an assist and 12 other Ohio Northern players tallied a goal in the game.

NEW CONCORD — The Ohio Northern men's track and field team opened its 2017 outdoor season with a 6-1 record at the Muskie Duals at McConagha Stadium on Saturday.
Junior Conner Karg (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem) led the Polar Bears by sweeping the 200 anWomen's track opens season with winsd 400 dash events.
He won the 200 dash in :22.69 and won the 400 dash in :49.54.
Senior Zane Augustine (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) won the hammer throw with a toss of 46.34 meters.
Senior Adam Smith (Rocky River) and freshman Chandler Holesovsky(Bedford/Cuyahoga Heights) finished 1-2 in the pole vault.
