4-H Hootenannies working on county fair plans

By Riley Fleece

The Hardin County Hootenannies last met at Faith Holbrook's farm.  President Isaac Davis opened the meeting with Sean Hurley leading the American pledge and Riley Fleece saying the 4-H pledge.  Treasurer Seth Davis gave his report.

The fair is fast approaching.  We need to help set up pens in the goat tent at 2 PM Sun Sept 6th.  We need to know how many pens we each will need.  Our booth will be set up at 2 PM on Mon Sept 7th.  Faith announced we could use everyone's help and she still needs 5x7 pics of each member as well as project books and any still projects to display.  Weigh in for goats is at 4 PM that day.  Everyone will need to fill out their drug forms and have scrapies numbers to turn in.

We would like to say a big Congratulations to Faith Holbrook as she was crowned Goat Princess.  Plans are being made for a kayak trip on Sept 20th.

After the meeting, Faith had hot dogs and chips and water for us.  Then we went out to work on showmanship techniques with her goats. We would like to wish everyone good luck at the Hardin County Fair this year!  Both the swine show and the goat show are on Tues.

Come out and support us, we have all worked hard for this day!
