Saturday 5K Run/Walk supports Amelia Griffin
The Ada community continues to support one of its younger residents – Amelia Griffin. She is the daughter of Beau and Christina Griffin. Her brothers are Jude, 7, and Willie, 3.
Four-year-old Amelia was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. She has a tumor next to her spine and metastasized to her spine. Click here for an early story posted on the Icon about Amelia.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, is an Amelia Griffin 5K Run/Walk. It takes place at the Ohio Northern University shelter house behind fraternity circle. Registration starts at 8 a.m. The race is at 9 a.m. the event takes place mostly on the green monster track.
Registrations are $40 per person. Awards will be give to the first three women and men runners in each of the following age groups:
• 18 and under
• 19-24
• 25-35
• 36-50
• Seniors
The run/walk is organized by the ONU cross country team and Rite Aid Pharmacy. Registration checks should be made to:
