Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn will open a Findlay store
FROM THE BLUFFTON ICON - Fresh off its recent announcement of two franchise locations in the Toledo and Columbus areas, Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company announced that its fourth Ohio store will open in Findlay this fall.
Franchisees Jennifer and Jason Swartzlander, of Bluffton, will own and operate a store in the Interstate Plaza, just off of I-75 on Trenton Avenue in Findlay. They say their deep connections to the community, belief in the Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn concept, and an ideal location made them confident in joining the Shirley’s family of franchisees.
“We’ve literally followed Shirley’s since it began six years ago, and the time was right for us to build on the exciting partnerships they’ve developed in Findlay and Hancock County,” said Jennifer. “Now our attention is focused on finding great people to join our team.”
The Swartzlanders say they are looking to hire a local assistant manager plus 10 to 15 additional associates for daytime and evening hours beginning in the fall. Candidates can learn more about the business at www.shirleyspopcorn.com, and may submit a resume and cover letter via email to Jason at [email protected].
Founded in Bluffton, Ohio in 2009, Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company offers a dozen core flavors of gourmet popcorn and frosted nuts, all of which are created by local stores, in small batches, and using quality ingredients. In addition, the business boasts a significant local fundraising program, corporate gift and special event opportunities, and a thriving web store.
Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company has two locations currently open in Ohio, including the original flagship store along Main Street in Bluffton, and a franchise in The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee. Further expansion plans include additional franchise locations across the Great Lakes and Midwest over the next several years.
