The Pawsitive Attitudes 4H Club held their third meeting Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 pm at the Alger Public Library. Member, Jonathan Osborne, led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Photographer, Sam Brown, led the 4H Pledge.
Secretary, Ruth Anne Osborne, called the roll. There were twelve members, two advisers, and four guests present. Marshall Benson reported no changes in the treasury. Reporter, Abigail Osborne, read the article she wrote from the previous business meeting.
The club congratulated Marshall Benson and his dog, Scout, for placing second in obedience at a fun match in Findlay. President, Catherine Osborne, and her dog, Murray, placed first in obedience at a fun match in Delaware.
Sam Brown was named this year's Poultry King of the Hardin County Fair. The club was also informed that the team from Hardin County placed second at the annual 4H state dog bowl competition.
Catherine Osborne encouraged members to spend personal time with their animals every day so they will be aware of any changes which may indicate serious problems.
The club further discussed this year's fair booth and voted to move forward with a military theme. Marshall Benson volunteered to make a cardboard tank for the booth.
Advisor, Mrs. Amyial Brown, reminded members taking dog projects to review the showmanship questions for this year.
Member, Katherine Moore, made a calendar of events for each club member.
