Trees and the pool: Public meetings scheduled for next week

An important tool of communicating with residents about current and future needs of the Village is the use of public meetings. Public meetings allow Council and Village staff an opportunity to give residents background information on specific upcoming projects, and just as important, allows residents an opportunity to ask questions and voice comments regarding those specific projects.
Two such meetings will take place next week:

On Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m., a public meeting will be hosted in the Fellowship Hall in the newly constructed Ada First United Methodist Church, located at 302 N. Main Street. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss options for replanting the public trees along Main Street. Several of the current pear trees may succumb to fire blight, and Ada Village Council and Tree Commission are interested in comments from the public when developing a responsible re-planting effort along Main Street.

On Wednesday, April 15, at noon, the Ada Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) will meet to hear more regarding the forward movement with the Ada Municipal Pool Improvements Project. The CIC meetings are always open to the public, but this special topic may be of great interest to a wider audience. The meeting will be held on the campus of Ohio Northern University, in the Deans’ Heritage Room, located in McIntosh Center.

We invite you to take these opportunities to hear more and comment on the future of the streetscape along Main Street and the developments at the Ada Municipal Pool. If you have questions but are unable to attend, you are welcome to contact the Ada Village Office at 419-634-4045 with questions.
