Author-illustrator visits Ada school March 24
If your child knows of the books “Oh, Ducky!: A Chocolate Calamity,” “Moishe’s Miracle,” or better yet “I Loathe You,” then everyone is in for a treat.
David Slonim, author-book illustrator involved in those three titles will be in Ada schools in March. His Ada visit is on Tuesday, March 24.
During the week of his visit will be the spring book fair in the school media center. More details on the sale and Slonim’s visit will come later.
In case you wonder, “I Loathe You” tells the story of a monster who is afraid his parents will stop “loathing” him.
His illustrations in “Moishe’s Miracle,” a book by Laura Krauss Melmed was recognized by The New York Times as one of the Ten Best Illustrated Children’s Book of the Year.
Slonim has written and illustrated over 15 books with more on the way.
