Ohio Northern University’s Dicke College of Business Administration presents Outstanding Service Award
ADA — Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration honored alumnus Larry Boord with an Outstanding Service Award on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The award, given annually at Homecoming, honors individuals who have provided sustained and outstanding service to, and whose contributions have positively impacted, the Dicke College of Business Administration and Ohio Northern. This is the sixth year that Outstanding Service Awards has been presented by the College.
Dr. James Fenton, dean of the James F. Dicke College of Business Administration, said, “Mr. Boord’s combined service to the College and University represents 25 years of service. His service has been the essence of the word ‘impactful.’ Our students, faculty and staff are most fortunate to have Mr. Boord as a supporter of our academic program.”
Boord graduated from ONU in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and then in 1975 from ONU’s Pettit College of Law. Boord, who is a member of the ONU Board of Trustees and a former member of the Dicke College advisory board, has more than 37 years of experience in financial consulting on estate planning, business succession and retirement plans. He currently is an independent consultant and firm principal at Boord and Associates.
Boord is a licensed life and health insurance agent. He is a resident licensee in Ohio and a nonresident licensee in other states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, California and New York. Boord is a field representative with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, N.Y. Boord and Associates has contractual agreements with numerous other insurance companies.
