Hardin County's new logo and motto announced during Alliance event

In a press conference October 8, the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, along with the Hardin County Commissioners and countywide mayors, announced the new Hardin County logo and motto.

The new motto, Hardin County, a Great Place to Live, Work and Prosper, was incorporated into a new logo designed by Wesley Goldsmith, a local Hardin County resident and recent graduate of Ohio Northern University in graphic design.

As part of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliances strategic plan, expanding Hardin County’s market awareness on a regional, national and global scale starts with a clear and simple message.

“We hope to use our new logo and motto as the foundation of our marketing efforts," said Jon Cross, president and CEO of the Alliance.  “We want to deliver a positive and business friendly message to those looking to "build here, invest here, work here, live here, learn here, and love it here, all things Hardin County."

“We are very excited about the opportunities for Hardin County and see many great things in-the-works that will help us become a model community in Northwest Ohio,” said Tim Street, board chairman of the Alliance.  “As a community, we must think big, be bold and take calculated chances to accomplish great things for our community.”

Following the press conference, nearly 100 guests attended an open house luncheon and toured the Alliances newly renovated front offices visiting with staff, board leadership and county ambassadors.

State, county and local elected officials, including the Hardin County Commissioners, countywide mayors and council members, Hardin County Ambassadors, as well as other Hardin County dignitaries, were in attendance.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, and its four divisions (Chamber, Economic Development, Downtown Development and Tourism) is a member-driven organization that serves the community to promote, cultivate and advocate for a prosperous business, educational and agricultural climate, strengthen the local economy and improve the quality of life, making Hardin County a great place to live, work and prosper.
