Harvest and Herb Festival queen competition entries due by Sept. 10
This year's Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb Fest' is Saturday, Sept. 20, in downtown Ada.
The application form for students (ages 15-18) interested in competing for the honor of being the 2014 Harvest and Herb Fest' Queen is now on the Icon.
The application asks potential candidates three questions:
1 - If you were to support a special cause or offer to volunteer for a special organization, which would it be and why?
2 - Describe three characteristics that make you who and what you are today.
3 - What would it mean to you personally and for the Ada community to represent the Harvest and Herb Festival as queen?
Candidates interested in competing may contact Arlene Allison at 419-634-1144 for more details. The deadline to enter the competition is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10. Judging is at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, in the second floor conference rooms at McIntosh Center at ONU.
Last year's queen was Katelyn Guagenti. The 2012 queen was Erica Kier.
