Missing Bluffton teen located in Arkansas

During the February 12 regular meeting of Bluffton Council, Bluffton Police Chief Ryan Burkholder reported that the teen previously shown as missing was located that afternoon in Arkansas.

RSVP for Lamb Banquet by February 23

HARDIN COUNTY__The Hardin County Sheep Improvement Association will hold their annual Lamb Banquet on Saturday, March 2 at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the banquet can be reserved from the Extension office by calling 419-674-2297 and paid for at the door the night of the banquet. Adult tickets are $20, Children (4-8 years old) $10, and 2023 Hardin County Junior Fair Sheep Exhibitors are free with a reservation given to the Extension office by February 23. 

Marguerite Laverne (Chalfin) Gould was 105 years old

Marguerite Laverne (Chalfin) Gould, died on February 9, 2024 in Durango, Colorado, where she lived the last twenty-eight years of her life.  She was 105 years old.  

Anthony C. Brand worked for Cooper Tire

Anthony C. Brand, age 76, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at his residence. 

Ada Elementary students do some heavy lifting in "Souper Bowl" food drive

For two weeks, students at Ada Elementary participated in a United Way Souper Bowl canned food drive to benefit four Hardin County outreach programs. The youngsters proved that they are able to do some heavy lifting: they brought in a grand total of 1,854 items, more than enough to fill the large pickup truck used to transport the donations.
