McGuffey Memories Historical Society (MMHS) has assisted the Village of McGuffey with a sidewalk project. The sidewalk was funded by a Hardin County Community Foundation Grant, The Village of McGuffey and Vandalia Rental.

The village voted to allow the society to also install two benches which were funded by the  VanHoose Family, MMHS and Vandalia Rental.

Members of the historical society and three young men from the community provided labor. They spent over 20 hours completing the project.

Spokesperson Marianna Watts says, “We hope this will create unity and provide a place for people to have positive conversations in the future.”
