My name is Megan Light and I am 11 years old.
This is my third year in 4-H and I am in the Liberty Belles & Boys 4-H club. One of my projects last year was called “Fast Break For Breakfast.” It taught me a lot about how breakfast is a very important meal and how fast and easy breakfast is to make.
My favorite nutritious breakfast recipe to make and eat was called the break-away bars. I liked it because it was a healthy, but delicious snack to eat. My favorite ingredients in the break-away bars were the chocolate chips and peanut butter.
This project encouraged me to try new foods that turned out to be really good! If you like to make and eat food there are a lot of different food projects to take in 4-H.
My favorite part about being in 4-H is experiencing new things and going to the Hardin County Fair. There are new projects every year and I try to pick different projects to explore each year. If you are not old enough to join 4-H, there is always cloverbuds, which is just like 4-H, only for younger children.
I was in cloverbuds for three years before I was old enough to be in 4-H. Hardin County 4-H is a great way to accomplish goals and make new friends.
