Ada Girl Scouts puzzle in the park
Ada Girl Scouts have big summer plans. Hardin County Girl Scouts are taking part in the GSWO Community Challenge & Change Project, which is a USDA grant funded program that asks the girls to develop a project that addresses a community need.
The girls have determined that Ada kids need more activities that encourage healthy lifestyles, promote creative learning, and role model good decision making. They designed an idea for a children’s program that would take place at the park.
The group decided to incorporate a puzzle program into the playground area at the Ada Park. Kids will read “clue signs” designed by the girls to be in the shape of puzzle pieces. Kids will have fun finding the answers to 2 weekly puzzles– a scrambled word puzzle and a trivia puzzle
Each puzzle piece sign would contain a clue, or trivia question, relating to an educational topic for children to answer. The clues in the puzzle signs would change on a regular basis and will be created by girls participating in the project. It is called the Ada Park Puzzle.
The Girls Scouts are seeking the involvement of the community for this project. All businesses are welcomed to donate money towards the building of the Park Puzzle. All donators will have their business name on the permanent Ada Park Puzzle welcome sign.
Cost of involvement is $25.
