Ohio Northern stands 24th in Learfield Cup Standings in 2012-13

Ohio Northern's sports teams are in 24th place through the winter sports in the 2012-13 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings.
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports — nine women's and nine men's.
The Polar Bears are in 24th place out of 446 NCAA Division III schools with 317.50 points.
Northern has scored team points in men's soccer, men's swimming & diving and wrestling, women's soccer, women's basketball and volleyball.
ONU ranks second among all Ohio Athletic Conference schools and is a battle for league supremacy with Mount Union, as the Purple Raiders rank 23rd with 317.75 points.
