Iconic Bakery: Sue Zimmer's garlic lime grilled chicken

Garlic Lime Grilled Chicken
Recipe provided by Sue Zimmer, Ada
From Liberty National Bank Cookbook

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Wash hands. Place chicken in resealable plastic gab. Mix together soy sauce, lime juice, Worchestershire sauce, garlic and mustard.

Reserve 1/4 cup marinade. Pour remainder over chicken in bag. Toss to coat well. Wash hands.

Marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

April 10 program focuses on human trafficking

A program on human trafficking titled “Ohio’s Real Tragedy,” takes place at 6 p.m, Thursday, April 10, in the Ohio Northern University Chapel.

Barbara Freeman, a sex traffic survivor, is the speaker.

According to program sponsors, “Over 1,000 children from Ohio are forced into trafficking each year with 88 percent involving sexual slavery. Toledo is ranked fourth in the country for sex trafficking. Anyone can be a victim. Get informed. Learn how to help.”

AmVets all you can eat fish dinner April 18

The Kenton AmVets Post 1994 will hold an all-you-can-eat fish dinner. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 18, at the Post at 417 W. Espy St., Kenton.
It includes fish, baked beans, potato salad and roll for $7 donation. Call 419-673-1990 for more information and to schedule a free delivery.

"Footloose" on The Freed Center stage April 10-12

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “Footloose” on April 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. and two matinee performances on April 12-13 at 2 p.m.

It's a Tuesday cash mob in Ada you won't want to miss

Tuesday afternoon is "cash mob" day in Ada.

The cash mob is taking place at The Artist Boutique on Main, 117 S. Main Street, Ada, from 3 to 5 p.m.

“Deb Curlis welcomed our invitation to host this event,” said Heather Cox, member of the committee. “We hope to continue more cash mobs in Ada in the future.”

Cox said that to make the cash mob even more inviting to customers, the Artist Boutique on Main will offer door prizes during the event.

The business will also have homemade pastries and punch during the cash mob hours.

Drawing more attention to the mob, the Buy Ada First Committee will be handing out information on the benefits of buying local.
