Apollo Career Center offers services to community

Apollo Career Center's Garden Cafe will open for business Tuesday, September 23, and will serve lunch from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The all-you-can-eat buffet is $6 and includes a salad and hot bar with an assortment of desserts, and choice of beverage. The restaurant is student-run and designed to be a teaching lab as well as a restaurant. For reservations call 419.998.2945.

University teams up with PepsiCo to increase recycling efforts on campus

Ohio Northern University has announced that it will advance its recycling efforts by teaming up with PepsiCo Recycling to bring a PepsiCo Dream Machine kiosk and added recycling incentives to campus.

The PepsiCo Dream Machine kiosk introduces a rewarding program that provides students with an easy and convenient way to make a difference by recycling their bottles and cans on the go. The kiosk will be located in the lobby of the mail center in the McIntosh Student Center.

“The Harvest and Herb Festival showcases Main Street and our town. It’s the town, the personality of our town; friendly and welcoming,” shares Arlene (Lasko) Allison who is the epitome of warmth and a down-home welcome.

Arlene’s ever-present smile, bubbly personality, and graceful demeanor are contagious. She’s the friend you want to hang out with, the mom other mom’s know and love, and the educator whom kids are thrilled to bump into away from school. Arlene and husband, Scott, and also Anna Poling are instrumental in the implementation and production of Ada’s Harvest and Herb Festival.

Bluffton University adult degree program adds online element

Working adult students will soon spend much less time traveling and on campus while completing a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Bluffton University.

The introduction of online learning to the Bluffton Cohort-based Organizational Management Program (BCOMP) should allow them to spend more time at home instead.

AEP grant assists Hardin marketing efforts

John Hohn,  Director of Economic Development for the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance accepts a 2014 Local Economic Assistance Program (LEAP) Grant of $5,000  from Tim Wells, Manager of Economic Development, for AEP (Ohio). The Grant will be used for economic development brochures and marketing.
