Ada's latest news

The Ada Icon introduces a new feature this month. The Icon now posts the blog written by David MacDonald, Ohio Northern University chaplain.

MacDonald’s blog, titled “All Shall Be Well,” is described by the author as “musings of a college chaplain on life, faith and other deep stuff.”

His most recent blog posted on Sept. 28 is titled “We Didn’t Know We Were Poor…” Thoughts on Poverty and What We Can do.

MacDonald’s blogs are accessible at the bottom of the Ada Icon homepage. Or, to view the current block click here: www.shallbewell.wordpress.com.

More than 132 million names from the 1940 United State Census are now searchable on the Internet. According to Annette Pimentel of Ada, director of the Family History Center, this new information is very informative for persons looking into their own family history.

She said that a free family history seminar will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1195 Brower Road, Lima, for Icon viewers interested in more information.
