Allison Fye leads ONU's women golfers

Sophomore Allison Fye fired an 89 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team in a tri-match with Northwestern Ohio and Notre Dame (Ohio) on a cold and blustery Wednesday afternoon at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (12-15) finished third with 381 strokes. Notre Dame won the team title with a 365 and Northwestern Ohio was second with a 371.
Fye finished second of 15 golfers for ONU with her 89 on the par 72, 5876-yard course.
Sophomore Megan Conley tied for sixth with a 91, freshman Alex Manno was 11th with a 99 and freshman Courtney Knippen was 12th with a 102 for ONU.
NDC's Christi Bilas won Medalist honors with an 85.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the fall portion of their 2012-13 schedule on Thursday at the Indiana U.-East Invitational.
