Senior Aidra Preston had her art juried into the Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The show opens April 20th at the Rhodes State Office Tower and runs until May 15th.

Aidra's work is a dress made out of soybean bags and bedding bags.

This past weekend Aidra received a scholarship offer from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design based on her dress that is in the show.

They wrote:

The  VFW Auxiliary Post 9381 at  2147 State Route 235 holds regular meetings on the third Wednesday of each month. 

Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. All VFW Auxillary members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We have received several reports of this unknown male attempting to gain access into residences in the Dunkirk area.

We are being told that he is telling potential victims that he is with a roofing or window business to attempt to get into the residence. DO NOT LET THIS PERSON INSIDE YOUR RESIDENCE. If you see this male, or know who he is, contact the Hardin County Sheriff's Office at 419-673-1268 option 0.

On March 31 Dog's Tree Care was removing two huge trees in front of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on E. Highland Ave. Seven trees in the Village right of way are being removed in the spring 2025 program that identifies trees at risk of creating damage or injury.
