Caramel Nut Cluster Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn flavor of the month

"Caramel Nut Cluster" Is May's Flavor of the Month at Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Co., Bluffton.

"After years of our customers asking for a nutty caramel, we've emerged from our test kitchen with the perfect blend of dry roasted peanuts and smooth sweet caramel," Peter Suter told The Icon.

Here's the Hootenannies 4-H Club report

The Hootenannies 4-H Club meeting was opened at the Ag Credit meeting room by our new president, Laura Spradlin. Dylan Beiler led the American Flag Pledge and Faith Holbrook led the 4-H Pledge. Secretary Miranda Holbrook had roll call and found 13 members present.

Old business: We talked about doing Star Spangled Foods as a group project. Parents, April Holbrook and Amanda Cromer will help the members with this. The group felt this will be fun to learn about the customs and traditions that influence some of our American foods, while using what we fix as our refreshments at the meetings too.

Quarter auction May 5 to benefit Rhythm in Motion

Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, Ada, wil raise funds to help replace tumble equipment that was destroyed in a December flood in their studio.

The event is Sunday, May 5, at the Ada VFW on State Route 235, north of Ada. Doors open at 5 p.m.

What is a Quarter Auction?

How much does it cost: $5 admission includes two auction paddle with a number on it. Additional paddles may be purchased for $1 each. Each item raffled is from 25 cents to $1  per paddle played.

Baked goods, food items, and additional raffle items may also be available for purchase from the sponsored fundraising group.

Stellar performance by Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre' at the Q

Earlier this spring Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre' traveled with 18 dancers to Cleveland for their 2013 Performance at the Q in the Primtime Performance of the Cavs versus 76ers.

Their piece titled "Born This Way" was choreographed by Bluffton's Jocelyn Sherman and Directed by RIMDC Owner Darcey Schneider.
