Ada Area Chamber of Commerce meets Wednesday morning

The March meeting of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is at 8 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Community Health Professionals, according to Deb Curlis, chamber presdient.

The agenda includes planning for the spring festival and a ribbon cutting for a new business.

Beverly Justice was a member of the Ada VFW Women's Auxiliary

Beverly R. Justice, 67, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 4:35 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima. She was born on December 9, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to Herbert "Hebert" and Rubena "Ruby" (Patton) Prater and they preceded her in death. On October 16, 1965 she married Roy Justice and he survives in Alger.

Beverly was a homemaker. She was a member of the McGuffey Church of Christ. She was a member of the Ada VFW Post #9381 Women's Auxiliary, where she was presently serving as secretary, and was a member of the Moose Women's Auxiliary #863 of Kenton.

John Kleinhen, 1945-2014

John R. Kleinhen, 68, of Ada died at 10 a.m. on March 16, 2014 at Lima Manor. He was born May 29, 1945 in Fostoria to the late Robert and Mary Crawford Kleinhen.

John was a self-employed painter who enjoyed working on classic cars and reading. He was a graduate of Fostoria High School.

Survivors include a son, Robert (Mallory) Kleinhen of Kansas City, Mo., three grandsons, Kaden, Collin and Jace Kleinhen, and two brothers, Steven (Julie) Kleinhen of Eaton, Ohio and Dennis Kleinhen of Naples, Fla.

Joseph Pope was retired from Ford Motor Co., Lima

 

Joseph E. Pope, 75, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 6 p.m. at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1938, in Dunkirk, Ohio, to William and Nellie (Gillen) Pope and they preceded him in death. On April 17, 1965 he married Bonnie Lou Zurcher and she survives in Ada.

He retired from Ford Motor Company of Lima, after working for 32 years. He was a member of the UAW Union #1219.

Dancing fits Erica Stoner as expertly as do her toe shoes

Peek through the studio window on Main Street and you may see Erica Stoner perfecting her favorite calypso jump or leading a class of dance students at the Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre (RIMDC).

Erica has been studying dance with Darcey Schneider since 4th grade beginning at the Dancers Elite Studio in Bluffton. Erica’s first lessons were in tap and ballet and she then added hip hop lessons to her repertoire.

Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich...our own house-made rye bread with a house-made original recipe Russian dressing made just today for this sandwich.  Every time I make this dressing, I change the recipe just a bit, and never am quite satisfied.  Today, tho, it was perfect.  A little extra fresh-squeezed lemon juice in the dressing did the trick...
