It's Farmers and Merchants Picnic weekend in Ada! - Here's the schedule

This weekend marks the 99th annual Farmers and Merchants Picnic in Ada. The Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic Association sponsor the Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11 event.

All events are held in the Park District of Liberty Township (formerly War Memorial Park).

The schedule follows:
Friday
5:30 p.m. – Sign ups –golf cart pull
6 p.m. – Golf cart pull begins
7 p.m. - Food on grounds
7 p.m. – 11 p.m. First Due Band

Saturday
8:30 a.m. – OWHA horse show contest class, halter class, performance class
9:30 a.m. – Parade – West Lincoln St. Pharmacy Building
   Chair- Missy Bunge
10:30 a.m. – Welcome flag raising
   Bernie Mackey, president
   Dave Ratter, mayor
   Tony Wolke, president, park board
Crowning of Little Princess and Prince
   Chair – Holly Simon
Noon – Hourly door prizes – Bernie Mackey
Casino wheel and tips

Noon – Cornhole tournament
1 p.m.
• Chair saw carving exhibit
• Stock tractors, 4 x 4 pickup trucks and stock semi (over the road)

• $1 swimming
• Bingo 1 to 5 p.m.

2 p.m.
• Bessie Bingo 4-H kids
• Grease pig contest
7 p.m.
• Hot street stock semi, hot farm tractors, pro farm tractors, altered street gas or diesel 4 x 4 pickups
7 to 11 p.m. – Brother Believe Me Band
8:30 -10:30 p.m. – Teen dance, Ada pool

Main Stage Entertainment
11:30 a.m. – Pedal tractor pull
12:30-1:30 p.m. – Jericho  Road
1:30-2 p.m. – Ada High School Cheerleaders
2-4 p.m. – HepCat Revival
4-5 p.m. - Zumba fit demonstration
5-7 p.m. -  TG Rivers – Hypnotic Visions

7 p.m. Drawings for:

3rd - $300 meat package
4th - Harley gift card
