Aug. 4-5 United Way Days of Caring volunteer invitation

Mark your calendar: United Way's Day's of Caring return on Friday, August 4 and 5.

Hardin County United Way is looking for dedicated volunteers to help make a difference in our community. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by helping to coordinate and implement a variety of programs and services.

Organizers note that "Painting, cleaning, light repair projects and light landscaping projects for local organizations and towns are just some of the tasks that will be completed. And it's just FUN to come together for a great outreach opportunity!"

County Road 75 bridge replacement near Ada

ODOT District 1 has announced that bridge replacement on County Road 75 between Township Road 30 and State Route 81 over Hog Creek will detour traffic until October 2023. Access to properties will be maintained. (ODOT MAP.)

Project schedule 
- Construction begins: June 2023
- Construction ends: October 2023

Traffic impacts 
Vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.

Park-in-the-Park car, truck and bike show is June 10

The Ada VFW will present its 4th annual Park-in-the-Park car, truck and bike show on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Ada's War Memorial Park. Proceeds from the show will benefit the park and the Hardin County chapter of Blue Star Mothers. 

Vehicle registration is from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. for a donation of $10. The first 100 registrants will receive a dash plaque and wooden dog tags.

Timothy Wayne Jordan was an insurance agent

Timothy Wayne Jordan, age 68, of McGuffey, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton.  

He was born to the late Joseph and Peggy (Duffman) Jordan on March 3, 1955, in Kenton, Ohio. 

Registration for 2023 fall youth soccer is open

The Ada, Ohio Soccer Association has announced that registration for fall soccer begins runs from June 1-30 with these reminders:

1) A child must be 4 years old at the time of sign ups.

2) A child from any school district is eligible to play for us.

3) If your child is in U6, please mark their t-shirt size in the registration form. Please DO NOT mark that they need a jersey!

4) Kids in U8-U15 will need a jersey! If they have one from a previous season, they may use that.

5) The fall season games will start August 21 and will run through the end of September/early October.
