The Icon found this “small town scavenger hunt of Ada” on the Ada Bulldog Facebook. Mrs. Salyer created the hunt for students in her sociology class. Some of her students shared photos of their adventures, shown at the bottom of the story – if you need the answers.

Now, all you need to do is take a selfie of you with the items in the hunt. Here’s 30 things to location in Ada. Ready, set, start:

Hearts float out the windows of Vancrest Ada. The hearts carry messages of thank you  to several businesses and people. The hears also offer words of encouragement as residents are quarantined due to the COVID-19 virus.

Born and raised in Lima, Avyce has been a resident at Lochhaven Assisted Living since August of 2019. Three sons, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren are her pride and joy.  The best part?  “They all live around Lima,” Avyce shared with pleasure.

University plans to hold an in-person ceremony later at a date to be announced

In recognition of this landmark event in the lives of its students and with an understanding of current circumstances, Ohio Northern University is holding a virtual degree conferral ceremony, which will be posted on Facebook at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, at www.facebook.com/OhioNorthern/.

This is the date that commencement ceremonies were originally scheduled for students in the ONU Raabe College of Pharmacy and undergraduate colleges, as well as the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program. The Pettit College of Law ceremony was scheduled for May 17.

Blanchard Valley Health System - on Facebook Live 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) will hold a “State of Our Organization: COVID-19 Response and Plan Part III” through Facebook Live to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, the response plan for BVHS and answer questions from the community.

President and CEO Scott Malaney and Dr. William Kose, vice president of special projects, will speak to the community for a third time on the pandemic and updates on the health system’s response from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30.
