Youngsters love a carnival and parents and teachers love one that encourages reading. The Ada Academic Boosters sponsor a carnival each year in the 86 Gym, as they did on Friday for grades K-5. Children earn tickets by meeting reading goals and can spend them on games, popcorn, raffle items and, a popular one, throwing a wet sponge at a teacher. CLICK FOR MORE PHOTOS (Monty Siekerman photo)
