Award-winning billboard

A giant billboard on SR 81 across from Ada Schools shows an award-winning design by fourth grader Courtney Sumner. Courtney's artwork, which brings awareness to child abuse, took first place in the contest sponsored by the Kenton Kiwanis Club and Hardin County Jobs and Family Service agency. She is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer Sumner of rural Ada. Courtney enjoys drawing and ceramics, and she plays softball, basketball, and volleyball. Here, she holds a copy of her design and a certificate of excellence. Her art teacher is Kristie Steiner. (Monty Siekerman photo)
