Food bank distribution today in Ada

1 to 3 p.m. at ONU football stadium

The November West Ohio Food Bank's Hardin County food distribution takes place, from 1 to 3 p.m. (today) Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Dial-Roberson Stadium on the ONU campus, according to Jason Aldrich.

Enter on Klingler Road. To received food persons must be 18 or older, have a valid photo ID and proof of residency, be at or below 230 percent of the federal poverty guidelines and sign and eligibility to take food home form.

Aldrich asks that participants have their trucks or truck bed cleaned out as volunteers will not move items to load food into vehicles.

West Ohio Food Bank, based at 1366 E. Kibby St., Lima,  serves an 11-county area.

Veterans Day breakfast is drive-thru/pick up

The Ada School District is still sponsoring its traditional Veterans’ Day
breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to Dave Lusk.

"However, due to covid-19, this year’s breakfast will be drive through/pick up only."

"We invite all veterans and their families as well as active duty service personnel who live, work or worship within the boundaries of the Ada Exempted Village Schools to pick up breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m.

October experienced a range of 54 degrees

More rain than normal

October experienced a range of 54 degrees from a low of 28 to high of 82, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

The month’s average temperature was 52.0 degrees compared to the normal October average of 52.5.

October had 4.4 inches of precipitation compared to the normal October average of 2.68

The month’s high temperature was 82 on Oct. 9, and the low was 28 on Oct. 31. The daily summary is below.

Ada council moves tonight's meeting to Nov. 10

Ada council moved tonight's regularly scheduled session to Tuesday, Nov. 10. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers. Noah Ristau will be sworn in as Ada's newest counil member at the meeting.

School has student meals program survey for parents

Ada schools ask parents to complete an online school meals form.

The form asks parents to complete the survey if you would like meals provided to your students while our school is on remote learning.

The form asks for your name, number of children to receive meals and whether you choose a pick-up or delivery option
