Ohio Northern scored on its first three possessions, then got a key fourth quarter stop to hang on for a 35-28 Ohio Athletic Conference football victory over Baldwin Wallace on a chilly and breezy Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The Polar Bears improve to 5-4 overall and are 5-3 in the league, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 7-2, 6-2.

With the victory, ONU also clinched its 23rd upper division OAC finish in the past 25 seasons.

Senior Anthony McFadden (Chillicothe/Paint Valley) completed 12-of-17 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns and ran 16 times for 52 yards and a touchdown to lead the ONU offense.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) slogan this year is, “Don’t Lose Your Nerve to Diabetes.”

More than 30 million Americans are living with diabetes, and peripheral neuropathy, or nerve damage in the feet, is one of the most common—and most serious—complications of the disease. Nerve damage causes burning, tingling, heaviness or numbness in the feet and affects up to 70 percent of all diabetic patients.

A junior chemistry major, Meredith Marshall studies, works part-time, participates in student activities andmakes critical decisions for Otterbein University. 

Marshall, a 2017 Ada High School graduate, is one of two student representatives on Otterbein’s Board of Trustees.  After a rigorous interview process, she was selected and began her term on January 1, 2019.

“It’s wonderful.  It’s nice to have a voice,” said Marshall when asked about her board position.  “My vote carries the same weight as the other board members.”

The Ada Exempted Village School District Parent-Teacher Conferences for students in grades K-12 is Monday, Nov. 25 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to Tracy Breidenbach, K-8 guidance counselor.

Students will only attend school on Monday, Nov. 25 that week. There will not be school on Tuesday, Nov. 26, or Wednesday, Nov. 27 for conferences or Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, for Thanksgivingbreak.

All conferences will be scheduled using SignUp.Com this year.  Information has been shared with parents, but can also be found on the school's website.  All parents are encouraged to attend and discuss their child’s progress.
