The ONU law school has received an A- ranking for “Best Law Schools for Practical Training” in the spring edition of PreLaw magazine, placing the college in the top third of the nation’s law schools.
The PreLaw magazine rankings are based on experiential learning opportunities. Taking data from the American Bar Association and individual law schools, PreLaw looks at five categories: legal clinics, externships, simulation courses, interschool competitions and “other.”
Apollo Career Center's Floral Shop will begin its annual flower sale Tuesday, May 8, and run through Friday, May 11. Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.
The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.
MIDDLE POINT - The visiting Ada softball team scored four runs in the top of the eighth to beat Lincolnview 10-6 in a Northwest Conference extra-inning road battle Monday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-6 and 4-3 in the NWC with the hard-fought win. The Lady Lancers fell to 7-8 and 1-5 in league play with the loss.
Both teams scored two runs in the sixth inning to tie it again, 6-6. After a scoreless seventh, the Bulldogs erupted for four runs in the top of the eighth to win it.
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Ohio Northern softball team dropped a hard-fought 3-0, 3-2 twinbill at Transylvania (Ky.) in its regular season final on Monday evening at John & Donna Hall Field.
The Polar Bears fall to 27-9 overall, while the Pioneers improve to 30-6.
Defense took over game one, as the two teams hit a combined five hits.
The Pioneers were able to score three runs in the bottom of the third inning and would hold on to claim the game one victory.
ONU freshman Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) earned his first career Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week nod this week for his efforts.
The freshman led ONU to a 2-1 week to wrap up its regular season and prepare for this week's OAC Tournament.
Thai posted a 4-1 record last week, including a 2-1 record at No. 1 singles and a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles.
Thai helped ONU clinch the No. 3 seed in the OAC Tournament after leading ONU to a 6-3 victory over Otterbein to close out OAC play.
