Murder mystery at The Inn

By Monty Siekerman
The comedy murder mystery at The Inn on Friday and Saturday nights is sold out.

The Inn has been hosting dinner theatre shows for the past several years, and they have proven popular. The thespians are from NOTFA (Northern Ohio Theatre Fraternity Association) which is made up, primarily, of Lima and Findlay residents.

This weekend's show was written by and is directed by Jim Toth of Findlay, who has now written 11 comedy/murder shows, plus many more. The BGSU grad majored in theatre and speech, has performed since the 1960s, and began writing scripts 20 years ago. His works have been performed throughout the country.

He said this is the inaugural performance of his newest play, so the ONU performance could be considered a world premiere of this work.

The play is described: Family and friends of Horatio Hornblow Haversham gather at his mountain castle on his 90th birthday. A terrible storm rages on outside but even more dire events take place inside the mansion walls. A midnight séance! Ghostly spirits from beyond! A last will is missing! Mysterious uninvited strangers. And dead bodies piling up.

Pictured at Thursday's dress rehearsal: Kathryn Roether of Findlay and Andy Conway of Delaware, Ohio.
