ONU's Devon Price second team All-American D3

 Ohio Northern senior Devon Price was named a member of the 2015 D3football.com All-America Team at the wide receiver position.

Price earned Second Team honors and earned his first All-America honor.

The senior is currently ONU's all-time career leader with 244 receptions and 3,201 yards. He also is top all-time at ONU with 76 kickoff returns for 1,868 yards and is second with 5,539 all-purpose yards.

He led the Ohio Athletic Conference this season with 89 receptions for 1,217 yards to go with six touchdowns.

Price helped guide the Polar Bears to a 9-3 record and an NCAA Tournament birth.

Recognition keeps coming to Christopher Beaschler - now he's a first team academic all-American

The recognition keeps coming for Ada High School grad and University of Dayton senior Christopher Beaschler.

This week, Beaschler, a senior linebacker on the Flyers football team, has been named a CoSIDA First Team Division Academic All-American.

Beaschler carries a 3.68 GPA in Mechanical Engineering. He is one of just two players who were named First Team All-PFL and First Team Academic All-PFL in both 2014 and 2015.

Christopher Beaschler named Pioneer Football League co-scholar athlete of the year

Ada HS grad Christopher Beaschler, University of Dayton senior linebacker, and Butler senior quarterback Matt Shiltz were named the Pioneer Football League Co-Scholar Athletes of the Year, Wednesday.

The two also were among 52 PFL student-athletes selected to the 23rd annual Academic All-PFL Teams, as selected by the league’s sports information directors.

It is the second year the PFL has recognized its top student-athletes, both on the field and in the classroom, with the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. It also is the second year there were two honorees due to a tie in the voting.

Five 'Bears named All-North Region in D3football

Five members of the Ohio Northern football team were named All-North Region for 2015 in voting conducted by D3football.com.

Seniors Justin Magazine and Devon Price and junior Reed Allen were First Team selections, senior Rody Seballos was a Second Team pick and sophomore Zach Schmerge was a Third Team honoree.

Magazine, Price and Allen are now on the All-America ballot.

All five Polar Bears were named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference earlier this season.

Magazine is also a two-time All-OAC honoree.
