It may seem like the Boston Celtics and professional basketball have been around forever. In a new article for celticsblog.com, Ada Icon sportswriter Cort Reynolds tells us the story of the early team and its competition:
"The Boston Celtics are one of eight teams who have existed since the Basketball Association of America was formed for its inaugural campaign in 1946-47. Only Boston and the New York Knicks have remained in their original city since the league’s inception.
Ohio Northern University’s HealthWise Pharmacy and Mobile Clinic are preparing to offer pediatric COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11, pending CDC approval and deliveries of appropriate doses and supplies. Federal agencies have indicated the vaccines could be available as early as November.
“We’re 100 percent on board with this,” says College of Pharmacy Dean Steve Martin, Pharm.D.

We have been loyal members of the library programs at the Ada Library for almost a decade. Each year we wait, with anticipation, for the annual summer reading program to begin with the inclusion of weekly programming, book challenges and numerous activities for children of all ages and adults.
In March of 2020, a time most of us will remember as the month the world launched into a global pandemic, I began my first term with the honor of becoming a Board Member for the Ada Public Library.

Ada First United Methodist Church, 301 N Main, will be having a Craft Afternoon in Wesley Fellowship Hall on from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 20. Two projects will be offered:
A wooden snowman Advent calendar
A doormat with your choice of 5 different designs

An ostomy is a surgical procedure that diverts a portion of the intestines to the outer abdominal wall to create a stoma that expels stool. It is estimated 450,000 people in the U.S. have an ostomy. It is a new way of living and with modern medicine, patients can experience a full life again.
